The Military Importance Of Kauai Island In The Pearl Harbor Attack

Japan is north-west of Pearl Harbor. The Japanese aircraft made
their approach to Pearl Harbor from the north-west, over Kauai island.



There was no warning from the American military outpost on Kauai island
because it had been ordered to stand down some time before the attack
