The Netherlands' Lowlands Festival

Every year the three-day Lowlands pop festival brings around 60,000 people to the Walibi World amusement park in Biddinghuizen in the expansive lowlands of Flevopolder, within easy reach of all the major Dutch cities.

As a festival of culture the event centres around music, with eight stages in all. Highlights of the 2006 line-up include Massive Attack, Muse, Scissor Sisters, Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party, José Gonzalez, Hard-Fi, The Magic Numbers and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
