The News is NowPublic.com

Well, there's this funky little utility from NowPublic. It's a widget that you add to your browser bar (if you're using Firefox. If not, forget this post and move on) and it's a bit like writing a weblog entry. A dialogue box pops up, you add in your title, add in your text blah blah, usual story, and then you save it.
 
Or, you can do what I've done, which is to sort it out so that it'll add the same story to your weblog. Now, this is where it starts to get interesting. The story is posted on the NowPublic site for other people to see, and they can comment. Which means that they can also end up commenting in your weblog (if you let 'em.) There's the usual thing about building user communities, learning from others, RSS feeds and all the goodness that you'd expect. I'll try it for a while, see how it goes.
