The Northampton Carnival 2007

This years Northampton Carnival is set to take place over the three days of 8th, 9th and 10th June 2007, with a theme of Earth, Wind, Fire and Water.

Friday, 8th June
Steel pans, bands, Irish music, singing, colourful costumes and dancing

Saturday, 9th June
The carnival will leave from Delapre Park in the early afternoon heading towards the town centre, around the town in a winding route and back to Delapre Park.
Then to the Royal & Derngate theatre for a performance of a great jazz band that are coming from New Orleans in America.
Then the after show party.

Sunday, 10th June
Market Square with 'Chill Down Sunday.' The market will be full with gospel singing, dancing, light music, ambiance and low key entertainment.
