The Rise of Customized Music -- Love Songs by You

A Canadian company recently launched TailoredMusic.com, a website that sells custom love songs. Customers pick a vocalist and genre, ranging from rock to classical to jazz. The website has a special "lyric editor" that makes it easy to make changes to the song's lyrics. Some lyrics must be customized (such as the love object's name), while other fields are optional, such as places, events, dates, and feelings. Behind the scenes, a team of professional musicians re-record each song, mix & master it down to MP3 and WAV files (for burning a CD), and ship it out in a fancy gift package. The cost for all this fun is between $99 and $249.
