The Lord Chamberlain's office sends out letters to jewellers on behalf of Prince Charles warning that they are breaking the law if they use the Prince of Wales feathers on items. However, the emblem is a historic one associated with Wales, rather than solely belonging to the heir to the throne.

i have just had a pair of tongues given to me by a friend they have the prince of wales feathers on they are some sort of silver they have at the bottom RD which i was told meant registered please can you help identify them with kind regards Margaret
