-Nothing says 'sexy' like death camps-
A designer in Vienna, Austria used a nazi concentration camp as a backdrop for suggestive nude photos of herself. A news magazine, Profil, said that the woman -- who is not named -- used Mauthausen death camp as an 'artistic thought experiment.' Apparently, not a lot of thought went into this experiment. -"Now the ottoman and I can finally be together"-
A canadian man was charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace after he attacked a recliner in his backyard with a broadsword. "During a trial spread over three months, [Wayne] Bell said his attack on the old chair sitting on his patio was, 'Just fun. It felt good.' He had tapped the chair on either side similar to a knighting ceremony and then buried the sword deep in the seat." Maybe you need a license or something... (The Observer)

-Con Ed is really forgiving of late payments-
Long Island, NY resident Vincenzo Ricardo has been sitting in front of the television since dec. 2005. Police investigating a burst water pipe discovered his mummified remains in front of the blaring set. "Officials could not explain why the electricity had not been turned off, considering Ricardo had not been heard from since December 2005." Ricardo was an elderly man who had been diabetic and blind for years; neighbors assumed he was either in the hospital or a nursing home. (Reuters)
