The abandoned castles in the south of France... trespass into history, but watch out for those loose stones in the upper floors. Seriously.

Visiting and finding out
-
Russia;
That piloting your boat down the Moscow River past the Kremlin,and partying with the locals until
you ache.
-a ancient orthodox Russian monastary and wonder of "Sergei Passat".
-Gorki Park is actually a friggin amusement park,and not a John Grisham style spy novel.
-Late night discussions with Gypsies at the Bolshoi after a performance and finding walls and walls
of photographs honoring all the Gypsies who have performed at the Bolshoi and finding out the
Bolshoi saying Gypsies made the Bolshoi what it is.
-Watching a 5 year old street girl playing a violin on Arabat, better than any classically trained
musician whose beautiful sad music can bring tears to your eyes.
Jordan;
-Meeting a group of Muslims in a Cafe the Middle East, discussing world events,heated discussions,
trading cultural misconceptions of each others cultures,ending with laughter and lasting
friendships, finally wondering why people hate them, based on a few Westerners and Middle
Easteners who ruin it for everyone when we are all the same under our clothes.
Holland;
-Valkenburg, Holland, Roman ruins,good food, great people, excellent beer and raw oysters and I
brought 4 bottles of Newfie Screech though can't remember much, but have photos and friends and
Dutch and German Border Guards and Soldiers who say I had fun apparently.
Lillooet, BC
Listening to First Nations Elders speak of old ways, the language, myths and life, Marriage Mountain, Ancient Tit'Qet Mounds, Ancient Petroglyphs. The beauty of the area and the people.
The Top Ten Wonders or Destinations of the World not necessarily need to be "The Geographical" destination, It's the people who make it a "viable and memorable wonderful destination".
