NEW YORK - More than three million people are expected to turn out in New York City tonight, for what's being billed as the nation's largest fireworks show.

A spokesman for Macy's, which is sponsoring the event, says 40,000 pyrotechnic shells are set to explode over the East River. There also will be a performance from Mariah Carey
