Tiger, Phil Surge at PGA Championship

The birdie fest at the PGA Championship was in full swing long before the leaders teed off.

Overnight rain further softened the greens, and players were taking full advantage. Phil Mickelson, Chris DiMarco and David Toms had barged into the leaders group before they made the turn on Saturday, and Tiger Woods and Davis Love quickly joined them.

That made for a 10-way tie at 8 under, with leaders Billy Andrade, Henrik Stenson, Luke Donald and Tim Herron just starting off.
