Great tips to make Europe still affordable - I know for me, these will be helpful as I would like to go Europe in the near future and the Euro is killing both the Canadian and American dollars.

Many of the comments, which were posted at nytimes.com/travel, made general recommendations for strategies like renting villas or apartments rather than staying in hotels; others were based on specific experiences.
