After a seemingly endless series of head-shavings, crotch-flashes and several assaults on photographers, the Britney Spears fiasco has effectively reached its tipping point. Emerging from re-hab several months ago, Brit has had a number of progressively strange appearances that have left many people questioning her parenting skills and her overall level of sanity. Rumors of late night partying and shoddy parenting have been supplying the internet’s top celebrity bloggers with plenty of Britney-based stories that have gotten weirder and weirder over the past few months.

Seizing on an opportunity, Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline has begun a court case in an effort to win custody of the couples’ two children. Britney (and her lawyers) have vowed to fight off Federline’s legal team and nobody is quite sure just how this situation will play out. However, this hasn’t stopped top celebrity gossip bloggers from speculating on the outcome of Spears vs Federline. 

The National Ledger, a widely-read celebrity gossip blog, revealed that Britney’s family have begun turning on her over an obvious lack of parenting skills. Their latest post stated that “even her immediate family is now supporting Kevin. Brit's sister, Jamie Lynn, is deeply frustrated and she is set to bail on Britney.”

Seeing Britney’s sketchy behaviour prompted Jamie Lynn to unload on her sister in a tense phone call last week. A supposedly furious Jamie Lynn tearfully told Britney that Kevin should have custody of their kids. The National Ledger quoted her saying “you wanted those babies, and look what you're doing! I'm glad Kevin's going to take them!'"

It seems as though now that K-Fed has Britney’s family onside for his custody case, he has gone into full-court press with his lawyers. Top celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton revealed that “K-Fed’s military trained team of legal processors, lead by Aaron Cohen, served Daimon Shippen with a subpoena, forcing him to appear in court to testify on Britney’s parenting skills (or lack thereof).”

Shippen, romantically-linked to Spears during the past few weeks, has been acting as her body guard recently and unleashed an internet rumor as celebrity gossip bloggers were convinced that he was one of the “Geico Cavemen” from the award-winning series of insurance advertisements. It turns out that the resemblance is merely a coincidence but Shippen will be officially referred to as the Geico Caveman in pretty much every celebrity gossip blog from now on.

Federline’s lawyers have also issued a subpoena for her personal assistant. Perez Hilton was the first celebrity blogger to break the details about K-Fed’s people contacting Britney’s assistant and pseudo-family member Alli Simms. Perez had the foresight to state that Simms “was only the first pawn to go down in a much more complicated chess game.”

Another top gossip blog, VIP Glamour, is convinced that K-Fed’s lust for the bling-bling is what’s behind all of this legal mumbo-jumbo. Their latest post stated that “Kevin Federline’s fight for custody apparently is all for the money.” They offered some of the details behind the legal wrangling from team Federline, “he originally agreed to a 50/50 split but suddenly filed papers asking for a 70/30 after not even being in contact with Britney for over 3 months.” They seem convinced that he wants the kids and the cash.

Since Britney has vowed to fight Federline tooth and nail through the entire process, it is fairly obvious to everybody involved that this is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.
