Trafalgar Square getting turfed over!!
Green grass in the center of Trafalgar Square, what a good idea, looks much better than the usual gray stone and its unusual appearance right in the center of the city square makes it a hot spot for bathers in this glorious sunny weather. Its only temporary but Londoners will enjoy it while it last.
That's right. Nelson's Column looked down on a sea of green today after the London tourist board pulled off the ultimate 'guerrilla gardening' stunt, laying down 2,000 square metres of turf overnight around the city's famous landmark.

Thanks to all the NowPublic photographers for their brilliant photos & videos. Keep them coming....

Thanks Brian A Kennedy

you have to be quick as the turf is only temporally laid and will be removed
tomorrow Saturday 26th May

it will be relaid in Bishops Park in Fulham, West London.
