As if the weather in BC at the moment wasn't bad enough for travelers, now BC Ferries' Tsawwassen Terminal is at a standstill - and it's not because of the line-ups.

Earlier this evening at approximately 5:35pm the Queen of Saanich (which left Swartz Bay at 4pm) was inches away from docking at Tsawwassen, before drifting back from the terminal. The latest reports from passengers and announcements on board, claim that a person at the terminal was making various threats, and was immediately apprehended. Other reports claim that the person was removed by police from a previous ferry while a suspicious package in the terminal was investigated. Due to the nature of the threats, the lengthy delays were caused by sweeping the terminal to ensure safety. I'm sure there will be further information very soon.
