I've spent the last two solid days in internet cafes in Lusaka writing up our continuing adventures in Africa - this time covering our fantastic five day Tanzanian safari to Lake Manyara, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater, together with the harrowing account of our attempt on Kilimanjaro's challenging Machame route - culminating in a surprise marriage proposal for one lucky lady.

Will be spending the rest of today bringing things up to date with coverage of our fantastic month in Zanzibar and Pemba

themoonshark, I think your story has potential but needs some improvement. I've got a few suggestions, and if you give them a try, I'd be happy to remove this flag.

I wasnt sure what was newsworthy in this story. News should always be about posting current stuff - new things you've discovered.

Please review What Makes News News. It can really help ify ou follow the old "W5" news formula -- making sure you have answered the questions: Who? What? Where? When? And Why? (You might want to check out our J-Tips for more help.)

There's also a problem with the headline--it doesn't match anything in what you've published on NowPublic.  I went to your blog and finally, way down, found the reference to one part. When you write a headline for NowPublic, have it match what you publish here. Right now, this isn't a story for NP at all--it's simply an teaser, or advertisement, for your blog.

I'd like to know more of the trip--and I think our readers would, too. Can you prepare a version for NP? You can, you know, publish what's on your blog here, en toto, or in parts. (I'd suggest in parts, as your entry on your blog is very long.)

And most of all, provide us with photos, too.

themoonshark, I hope that briefly putting on the "needs improvement" flag signalled you quickly, while travelling of both our interest and how to best present your material here for maximum readership.
