Censorship has made a big return, even in the arts.  It seems that SUNDANCE, the film folks biggest American outlet for independents does not want the U.S. public to know that American Aboriginals are the target of yet another human rights abuse issue in the land of  the brave and home of the somewhat free.

CENSORED: 'Trespassing,' censored at Sundance, screening in Santa Barbara SANTA BARBARA -- "Trespassing," the film that exposes how the nuclear industry has targeted American Indian communities in the Southwest will be screened at the Think Outside the Bomb National Conference on Saturday, Aug. 18. After "Trespassing," was rejected and censored at Sundance Film Festival, and many of the world's leading avant-garde film festivals, it went on to win awards around the world. From the Tucson International Film Festival and festivals in Spain and Oaxaca, Mexico, fearless film festival organizers awarded it as a human rights' treasure.

Especially since Sundance folks have told me in the past that their main focus was now on docos... I can't think of a more "filmworthy" topic than the right to live in one's own country.
