The Italian team had just won its soccer match over Australia - not really well deserved if you ask me. But the large Italian community in Munich was celebrating. Within 30 minutes after the game, the Leopoldstrasse, one of our main boulevards, was blocked by thousands of tifosi (Italian for soccer fans) celebrating the victory. When everybody was there, traffic was totally impossible, and I guess this will go on all through the night. These guys really know how to party ...And what's more - the Aussies were fair sportsmen and accepted the referee's decision. They even partied peacefully with the Italian fans later on.
