Tunnel To Shelter

This piece of concrete sits above the site of the underground shelter, where the Branch Davidians buried an entire school bus.------In February 2005, on the way back from a trip to Austin, we tracked down the site of the Waco, TX Branch Davidian Compound. It is now operated by people who say they are not connected with the Branch Davidians. There is a small visitors museum, a grove of trees with a memorial, and they still maintain a lot of the wreckage. It was a very weird experience to visit the church, and the people were a little weird as well, but the site is still a part of history and visiting was one of the more interesting things I've done.
