Turks.US - The prosecutor in the trial demanded the death penalty for overthrown Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein and two former members of his regime on charges of crimes against humanity.

The prosecutor said he demanded the maximum punishment for Saddam, his half-brother Barzan Ibrahim al-Tikriti and former Vice President Taha Yasin Ramadan for their role in deaths of 148 people in Dujail.

The charges defended the overthrown leader of Iraq and his regime committed a crime against humanity during the revenge attack in Dujail which left 148 people dead after an assassination attempt against Saddam Hussein in 1982.
