A man has died and a second body has reportedly been found after a light plane crashed in Monmouthshire.

Gwent Police said the aircraft which is believed to have flown from Cornwall had crashed near Undy at 1550 BST.

Part of the plane's wing ended up on a road and debris was strewn across fields near a Tesco distribution depot at Magor, two miles from the M4.

Rescuers later said a second body was found near the first. Air accident investigators are also at the scene.

Supt Colin Jones, who is leading the investigation, said one victim was found near the aircraft after officers were alerted to the crash by a member of the public.

"There are search officers in the vicinity trying to establish the cause of the incident, " he said.
