U.K. BrightHouse Set to Destroy The Planet
With the current fashion for worrying about your carbon footprint you need to be aware of which companies are doing their bit to save our world and which companies value their profits over the environment and ultimately global destruction.
Curry's Digital are currently running T.V. adverts featuring their promise to remove and recyle or dispose of environmently friendily the product you are replacing by buying something new from them.
I can remember a government mailshot last year that went round all retailers telling them they were now responsible for disposal of these old items. For example if you sold a new washing machine you were responsible for the disposal of your customer's old washing machine. You hadn't sold your customer their old washing machine but the idea was you probably wouldn't be selling the customer their next washing machine either, so someone else would be responsible for the disposal of the washing machine you had just sold. All very fair actually.
BrightHouse, the huge "rent to buy", "sub-prime" target customers, U.K. retailer, avoids and refuses to dispose or recyle their new customers old items. Enter into a Hire Purchase agreement at an incredible 29.9% A.P.R. on a washing machine hugely over-priced when compared to the competition, accept you have to sign up for service cover and insurance which probably triple the cost and then pay the delivery charge to have your new washing machine delivered. If your washing machine ever comes into stock, which is unlikely at the moment as BrightHouse's warehouses are empty right now, the delivery drivers will deliver it and plump it in. They will move your old washing machine into the garden for you. Then leave it.
Everyone who works for BrightHouse knows customer's old equipment is the customer's look out to get rid off. No matter who old, etc. the person maybe.

Fletch, this is an interesting story - in fact, I think it could be a very important story too. But it needs some work
I am flagging it as Good Stuff to encourage you to put more effort into it! You've made some assumptions about what we know about who you are talking about. I know BrightHouse must be a UK outfit - but I am guessing. Any time you make a reader guess you stand a chance of losing them.
Also - your headline might seem a bit over-wrought. Got some ideas about wording that might be less - inflammatory?
Can you please fill in the blanks and toughen this story up?
