For those who are not posers, UGGS are not a fashion statement. They are handy when coming in from a cold weather surfing session. You stuff your feet into them to warm up. That is what they were made for.
Hollywood stars did what they always do....made themselves look ridiculous.

You know, it's funny because I don't actually hate Uggs. I think its interesting that there is so much backlash against them. It is undoubtedly because they have become so massively popular and all varieties of celebrity strap them on for comfortable (read: unattractive) forays to the grocer. But they do look comfortable, so what's everybody's problem? I think jody2ms is right - its the statement that has begun to grate....
the other thing I saw in Vogue a few days ago is Ugg has a new shoe that really looks like a sock.
