I had never heard of this before! There isn't very much information at all here about why - I will need to brush up on First World War history...provided this is in there!

The federal government has acknowledged it has a legal responsibility to make right on a pledge to Ukrainian Canadians who are continuing their fight for recognition of the fact that previous generations were interned in camps between 1914 and 1920.
