With an edition designed by Giorgio Armani, a blackened cover photo of supermodel Kate Moss, the British newspaper The Independent continues its RED initiative, which was set up in conjunction with the UN-affiliated Global Fund to help those affected by HIV/Aids in Africa.

On Thursday 21 September, The Independent is (RED) for the second time, with a special edition of the paper guest-designed by Giorgio Armani.

This ground-breaking project is the latest stage in The Independent's partnership with the (PRODUCT) RED initiative, which was set up in conjunction with the UN-affiliated Global Fund to help those affected by HIV/Aids in Africa.

This (RED) edition of The Independent will include articles from a host of public figures and celebrities including George Clooney, Bill Gates, Leonardo DiCaprio and Beyoncé. In addition, The Independent's daily features section, Extra, will become a 36-page magazine for the day.
