Ukulele Ray and His Lunchbox-A-Leles Popping Up Everywhere
San Francisco street musician and inventor of the famed Lunchbox-A-Lele, Ukulele Ray has been popping up everywhere, playing his wild and wacky 4-string tinbox creations.

The Lunchbox-A-Lele, a cross between lunchbox and ukulele, has taken the world by storm and Ukulele Ray is proudly demonstrating them at every available venue.

Since August 3, Ukulele Ray's trek began at the San Francisco Int'l Gift Fair in Moscone Center, where his Lunchbox-A-Leles were the rave of the 4-day show and were chosen from 1,900 exhibitors to appear on KRON 4 News, the San Francisco NBC affiliate.

From there, Ukulele Ray opened a new "Design Within Reach" store in Palo Alto on August 8, and then they went national when Lunchbox-A-Leles showed up on HGTV's "I Want That!" on August 30.

Ray took the State Capitol by storm at Sacramento's "Gold Rush Days" over the Labor Day weekend, and stole the show on KCRA 3 News at Noon with Walt Gray on September 1.

On the art-scene, Ukulele Ray is being hailed as the "New Andy Warhol" with his creation of "Playable POP-Art." Ray's recent art gallery opening of "Lunchbox-A-Leles" on September 9 at "Artworks21" in Sacramento blew the lid off the art world, combining music, art and comedy.

With even more to show in his repertoire of music and lunchtime licks, Ukulele Ray proudly exhibited at San Francisco's SomArts 7th Annual Expo for the Artist & Musician on September 15, then rocking the Jerry Garcia Amphitheater at the "Rock The Earth Festival" the next day on September 16.

With little time to eat lunch, Ukulele Ray performed at a variety of venues during San Francisco's "LOVEFEST" September 22 & 23, then rapping up the weekend at The City's "Folsom Street Fair" where visitors enjoyed his troubedor-style music and comedy.

So, where do Lunchbox-A-Leles go from here? Well, Ukulele Ray says "there's no other way to go, than up...by way of Japan!"

That's right! The Lunchbox-A-Leles are going international with a shipment already being prepared for a Japanese musical instrument exporter.

"We're thrilled we're going global... because that's what the ukulele and music is all about," Ukulele Ray said. "We want to spread ukulele love everywhere... and there's no better way to do it than breaking-bread with a lunchbox and song!"

With the holidays drawing closer, Ukulele Ray warns he may be showing up in a venue near you.

A staunch supporter of the arts, Ukulele Ray will be performing and displaying his Lunchbox-A-Leles at the upcoming "Celebration of Creativity" Art Show and Silent Auction on Saturday, October 14th at Space Gallery in San Francisco, with proceeds going to benefit Brush Fire Painting Workshops to support art for youth in public schools and programs.
