Under pressure?   Poor baby...how I feel for you!  You have been so wronged, Craig.  C'mon...please!

But hey...don't worry!  Craig Stebic has an attorney!  But there's a small problem.  Dion Davi isn't a criminal law attorney.  Guess what his specialty is?  DIVORCE.  Wouldn't any reasonable attorney suggest to his client who has been officially named a "person of interest" in a criminal matter tell his client to seek the advice from someone in criminal defense?  Any conscionable attorney would.  It's called ETHICS.

If anything, Mr. Davi is hurting Stebic and his less than stellar credibility.  With quotes like this you would think that someone of normal intelligence would seek other council.

"...Especially given the fact that there isn't to my knowledge (the key words..."to my knowledge"), anything that points to him other than the fact that he is the last person to have come forward and say he saw her."

Usually in most cases such as this, the last person seen with a missing person is the culprit; or at least has some degree of involvement.  These statistics double when that person is a husband/boyfriend, friend or family member, because most murders (assuming Lisa has been the victim of foul play) occur between people who know each other.  And we know that Craig had motive to get rid of Lisa.

Why would Davi say "he (Stebic) was the was the last person to come forward and say he saw her,"?  Why would Stebic HAVE to come FORWARD?  And why was he the LAST?  He was still married to Lisa Stebic and living under the same roof.  He should have came forward that next day when she didn't come home the night before.

Doesn't anyone find it odd that he gave his kids money to leave the house and buy candy right before her disappearance?  This would have been a perfect time period for him to get rid of Lisa.  After all, he was the last to see her.  And he wasn't even the one that called 911 to report her missing.  A NEIGHBOR was the one that reported her missing.  Contrary to other reports...Craig DID NOT contact police.

I don't buy his "Scott Peterson" lies.  Sociopaths carry the same characteristics...they are living robotic humans.  They learn to mock how regular people act and grieve.  That is why it is so hard to detect a sociopath.  However, Stebic is a lousy sociopath because isn't playing the "grieving" part very well.  This is telling by the fact that he has not allowed his children to seek psychological help for the turmoil of losing their mother; or even assisting in the many searches and vigils conducted by Lisa's family, friends and STRANGERS.

A total stranger cares more about this woman than the man whom he married...the woman who carried and gave him children.

I know...innocent before proven guilty.  But when one acts guilty from day one...then I'm using my common sense.  Luckily I won't be on that jury...nothing would change my mind regarding his involvement.  Him and his stories stink to the highest heaven as far as I'm concerned.

Anyone who wishes to debate or argue otherwise, please indulge me.

Hey, but that's me.  I actually have common sense.

Hey Michelle,

Perhaps trying to base your story on facts would be good! Dion Davi is a retired criminal prosecutor. He was only recently retired (less than 8 months) from the DA's office when he took on the Stebic divorce.

He is far more a criminal attorney than a divorce attorney.

It's called research. Try it some time.

Eight months!  Wow...that's cutting it pretty close from the time Lisa went missing, to Craig hiring him as an "divorce" attorney.  But too bad for you I CITED this article (interjecting my opinion, of course) from another source that stated Dion Davi was Stebic's DIVORCE ATTORNEY.

Maybe you should cc: this message to Surburban Chicago News where they actually get PAID to write these stories.  Don't hate the player, hate the game.

And by the way, who CARES what kind of attorney he is or was.  Besides, prosecution and defending the accused are like apples and oranges.  The rules of the Court are the only things that are constant.  Stragedy and common sense are not.
