As a follow up to the popular story of Vig Rhames' dogs attacking a caretaker at his Brentwood home, it is now clear teh dogs were not involved in teh death. The dogs are back at home with Rhames and a coroner has dismissed the idea that the dog bites were a cause of death.
The three bull mastiffs are not known for biting assailants, rather they use tehir large bodies, 200lbs in this case to subdue the intruder. Often teh dog corners teh intruder and tehn forces himself on top, waiting for his master to call him off. The English bulldog does have tendencies to bite, but at his low stature it would have been difficult for any bites above teh knees.
In any case, no cause of death has yet been determined but the dogs are not guilty.
