(RE: Suspect Arrested in Toronto Teen's Murder: One Still Missing) UPDATE:It is being reported that a second suspect has turned himself in. The police are no longer searching for the second suspect described in the article below, so one can guess that he is the suspect in custody.

[q

The 17-year-old youth turned himself into police late Sunday night. No court appearance date is yet available for him.

Neither youth can be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.[/q]

POSTED PREVIOUSLY: After almost 5
days at large, one of two suspects was arrested on Sunday afternoon and charged with the
murder of 15-year-old Jordan Manners. The teen was shot and killed in
his Toronto-area high school on Wednesday Afternoon.

17-year-old boy was apprehended on Sunday and charged with first-degree murder
after emergency task force officers swept down on a number of residences in the
city's west end.[/q]

Although this arrest is one of many, there is still
another man that police are searching for. Police have received clearance to
release his information, although he is a minor, in hopes it will aid his
arrest.

Poku Duah, 17, is wanted for first-degree murder. He is described as black,
5-foot-9, 200 pounds, with short black hair.[/q]

Because of the high
publicity of this case, it is likely that the sentencing of these suspects will
happen soon after they are taken into custody. This is the first in-school
shooting that Toronto has ever seen, something I'm sure the faculty and students
at C.W. Jefferys Collegiate Institute would rather not be known
for.
