Urban Mixer presents: This is Sector 17 (Event Photos)
Urban Mixer hosted a special cocktail party and recreated India's most cosmopolitan district, Sector 17, in Vancouver's most comopolitan hotel on Friday, May 17th, 2007. Partial proceeds from the fundraiser went to UNICEF's Unite for Children, Unite Against AIDS campaign.
One of Vancouver's best-known socialites, Raj Taneja, his staff, Anita Modha, Nina Sohi as well as a dozen volunteers, dressed in traditional Indian sarees provided by Calgary's Reema Fashions, hosted a sold-out 300 guest early-evening cocktail party at the OPUS Hotel in Vancouver's Yaletown.
Urban Landscape's Fred Lee, fashionably dressed in an Indian kurta top, hosted the VIP and media reception segment of the event while yogis from West Coast Hot Yoga, raised above the crowd on pedestals, showed their talents.
In other news, Rockstar Music's Adam H signed budding pop star Elise Estrada to his record label during the event.
