Over the past several weeks it has been revealed that the Bush administration has undertaken a broad - and secret - spying campaign on US citizens. While ostensibly part of its anti-terrorism efforts, these spying and surveillance activities, in fact, have targeted many environmental organizations. In this week's show, host Daphne Wysham explores this troubling development.

There are many scary stories circling right now about the US
government, but this is certainly one of the scariest.  The fact
that people who love and cherish our natural world can some how be
classified as terrorists is just sickening.  I consider myself an
environmentalist, and why would I hesitate do so.  Without the
environment we die!!!  So while a small group of lobbyist from the
gas, mine, beef, and timber industry obliterate every piece of the
earth that still remains.  Our tax dollars go to harrasing and
spying on people who want to stop these practices of torture, labor
abuse, and environmental disaster... I mean that has to be the most
backwords scenario ever...

And yet these men still walk around our capitol without being
immediatly arrested.  Astonishing!  It totally blows my
mind
