Wow, this will be the must read Book of the year, full of mystery and suspense on a forgotten star of TV. Valerie's claim to fame will go down in History as the wife of  Eddie Van Halen of the Rock Group "Van Halen" period. For if she had not hooked up with Van Halen,  the "Where Are They Now" segment would not even look for her.

Final Thought

I think her yet to be published  "Post It" size book, complete with Fridge Magnet, would begin and end with, I auditioned for a TV show called "One day at a time", married "Rock God, Eddie Van Halen" had a kid called "Wolfgang", had an affair with a "Kitchen Fork", resulting in my gaining 200 pounds. "Eddie Divorced Me" soon after, Now I work as a spokesperson for "Jenny Craig", cause I need the money.

Oh Crap, I think I just informed Now Public Readers the entire contents of her memoirs.  The rest of the memoirs will be just crossword puzzles, a photo of her fridge and Eddie's Guitar. Will a naughty photo spread of her be far off in the issue of "Iowa Fridge and Tractor?"

NEW YORK -- Valerie Bertinelli, whose life spans the different worlds of television and rock 'n' roll, is working on a memoir.

"Losing It: And Gaining My Life Back One Pound at a Time," which also documents her fight to lose weight, will be published in April 2008 by the Free Press, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.

"Writing a book is an exciting new adventure for me," Bertinelli said in a statement issued Tuesday by the Free Press.

"I've grown up in and out of the public eye, survived some tough times, learned some important lessons, and come out -- as has my entire family -- in a great place. I think it's a recipe for a good book. Ironically, as there's less of me, I have more to say."

Bertinelli, 47, starred as the wholesome Barbara Cooper in the 1970s sitcom "One Day at a Time," then joined a far wilder world when she married rock guitar god Eddie Van Halen in 1981. They divorced in 2005.

According to the Free Press, Bertinelli will discuss her years as a teenage star, her marriage, "her struggles with depression, and her life-long battle with weight and self-esteem issues."

Bertinelli is currently a spokeswoman for the Jenny Craig weight loss program.
