Rock fans brace yourselves, the mullet and big band hair is back in style.... Well not exactly but, the kings of the 80's rock, Van Halen, are back in action, and with David Lee Roth no less. The cork is popped and suds are flowing as the band is set to announce a new 50 date tour in a press conference next week. Van Halen was inducted into the rock n roll hall of fame earlier this year and premiered a reunion tour with vocalist Sammy Hagar in 2004. However, since April of 1985 Roth the fan favorite of many Van Halenites has not toured with the band, though Roth did make an appearance at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards with his cohorts. The reunion tour with Hagar showed the world that Van Halen still reigns grossing around $55 million. One could reasonably guess much higher than that in a Roth reunion. Fans will be lining up for tickets...more to come

I'm curious as to how Wolfgang will perform as he replaces Michael Anthony.  It just doesn't seem the same, as Mikey WAS the background vocals on most VH songs.
