Van Sun Parody Espouses Anti-Israel Rant

Vancouver commuters were handed copies of what appeared to be The Vancouver Sun, the local daily paper, Thursday.

However, upon closer inspection it became clear that this was no regular paper. Rather it was a propaganda tool being touted by The Palestine Media Collective.

The ‘parody’ of the paper was published to coincide with the anniversary of the Six Day War. The document uses a sarcastic tone and devilishly clever layout to damn both Israeli policies and the CanWest organization. Heather Reisman is also targetted.

On the website for The Palestinian Media Collective, the spokesman for the previously unheard of organization said, "We have provided a truth-telling antidote to the anti-Arab poison of
the CanWest chain."

The Vancouver Sun is aware of the publication and is investigating the matter.
