The latest on this crash is that the driver may have had a seizure sometime during the previous to the crash, and investigators are looking onto the possibility that the driver may have suffered another seizure which led to the crash.

A car hit a Garden State Parkway toll booth at the Great Egg toll Plaza in Somers Point on Thursday morning, killing the motorist in the vehicle.

Officials with the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, which operates the parkway, said authorities are investigating whether the accident was related to the motorist's medical condition.

The car burst into flames after hitting and destroying the unmanned toll booth at around 8:25 a.m. The accident shut down four toll lanes at the plaza, authority officials said, and the agency waived tolls at the scene for about an hour to keep traffic moving through two open lanes.
