Vodafone Germany going to block VoIP -- Doh!

I had heard rumours of this little bit of short-sightedness but from Connected Internet— Vodafone Germany to Block Skype—sounds like it's for real.  This is not bright.  Okay, let's just leave Skype out of the picture, okay?  Let's just look at VoIP.  Now, according to what I've read it sounds like Vodafone is going to block all VoIP calls going through it's wires.  Umm, guys, VoIP is a serious and growing was for big business to call.  This isn't script kiddies hacking their way through the net and hogging bandwidth, these are Fortune 500 companies. Oh Vodafone, I hope you've got your ear on the Blogosphere.  This isn't going to go over well.  Hey Skype is awesome, it's a cornerstone of my communications.  It's bad enough that Skype would be blocked, but VoIP.  Oooh that's just not bright. We shall see, shan't we, then? Technorati Tags : Skype, VoIP, Vodafone Powered By Qumana
