Around the world there has been a decry of the U.S. gun culture. This is as as result of the deadly university rampage in Virginia yesterday 16th April, that claimed 33 lives.

Australian Prime Minister John Howard said the shooting underscored the problems of a U.S. “gun culture,” but the gun control debate echoed loudest across Europe, which has some of the toughest gun laws in the world.

Most expressed shock at the shooting but few said they were surprised — criticizing the availability of guns in the United States, lax gun controls and the number of Americans who cling to the constitutional right that allows them to bear arms....

Fortunately all those who decry - don't "have" to concern themselves unless they desire to live here. It's nice that someone might send sympathy, they need not send snide remarks. They also don't enjoy the Constitution that we have? Why were the people on the airplane in 9-11 hero's? It was because they didn't wait for the Government to do what each of us in America should do, be self reliant. Which those other countries deny their people.

Like shooting fish in a barrel, not another gun on campus. That's what happens when you ban guns. Ban them coast to coast, there'll still be criminals with home made bombs - guns, and smuggled guns, guns stolen from the governments and employees. This recent VT shooting, the gun was smuggled into a gun free environment. Look at it as a microcosm. A bigger ban simply creates the same situation on a larger scale. No one can defend you like you. The ban on alcohol worked so well and then the ban on drugs, what a great model to follow.

Are guns banned in Russia? In Germany? By golly gosh, they had 25 million die under Stalin's gun control and 8 million under Hitlers ban on guns.

To have the chance to maybe protect your family... or stand and watch helplessly while someone kills them. It's a choice and America is pro choice on this one.
