(RPI) - With the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq estimated to cost $250 billion and funds for domestic security items from first-response equipment to stepped-up port security still lacking, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense’s “Office of Special Finance Operations” and the Shappiqui tribe of Darrien, Connecticutt have partnered to create the first national scratch and win instant lottery game whose proceeds are exclusively earmarked for fighting the War on Terror.Titled “Keep on Searchin”, the instant lottery game will be beta-tested over the next 3 months under a limited rollout in select Piggly Wigglys throughout North and South Carolina. The proceeds of the lottery will be kept in a special trust fund until 2009 when the next administration - be it Republican or Democrat - takes over. This decision comes on the heels of a recent leak of a classified NSA National Security Assessment which ranked the Bush Administration itself as the #2 threat to U.S. national security interests. PA instant lottery ticket, manipulatedNote: This in no way is intended to demean the efforts of the brave men and women out there tasked with this mission. In my mind, they haven't failed; this Administration has failed them.
