Coastguards have warned the public after a man died jumping 30ft (9.14m) onto rocks on the south Devon coast.

The 46-year-old from South Wales, who is expected to be named on Monday, died at the scene at Berry Head, Brixham.

He jumped off the roof of a building into the sea in a stunt which is known as "tombstoning".

James Instance of Falmouth Coastguard said people should bear in mind "rocks under the surface of the water which can cause fatal injuries".
