We Media Conference begins in Miami

This is how The Guardian's Jemima Kiss starts off her take on this year's We Media event:

Richard Dreyfuss made an unnecessarily prolonged appearance at the WeMedia in London last May; this year we have to make do with Craig Newmark but at least every news publisher in the room wants to hear what he has to say.

Despite a few hiccups in the initial proceedings this is shaping up. Newmark will no doubt have more insight than Dreyfuss who I summarized in a post I put up last year.

Who is the guy in the tie? I heard via the grapevine that said tie-wearer was also sporting sandals.

"Did we really love Lucy or was it the only thing that was on?"

- the quote of the conference so far.  From Lisa Stone from BlogHer.
