Air force chopper crashes in Riau

Pekanbaru, Riau (ANTARA News) - An Indonesian Air Force helicopter
crashed in the Indonesian province of Riau on Monday, an eyewitness
said.

The helicopter went down two kilometers from the eastern trans Sumatra
highway linking Pekanbaru to Pangkalan Kerinci, the eyewitness, Hamid,
said.

"All the victims are still at the crash site. We saw some of them who suffered broken bones," he told Antara.

He said he did not know exactly the number of people injured in the accident.

Meanwhile, the commander of the Pekanbaru Air Force Base, Col Ghandara
Olivienca, could not be reached for comment on the helicopter crash.(*) END
