..It was basiclly dry as of 7a.m. Sunday morning. At around 11a.m., it came down and never let up until  6:30 am Monday morning. There were reports of power outage in the area, including my own home. At about sunrise, power was restored to the area but signs of water damage was present on the streets  and homes everywhere.

This photo was taken in September 2007 after the dry summer months. The water level was low enough to allow my friend to lounge in a sun chair in the LA River near downtown LA.
