Need rain

by Detroitlady | October 17, 2007 at 02:43 pm | 329 views | 2 comments | 0 recommendations

The report as of today is that most of  North Carolina has only a 3 month supply of water left.  There is fines being given to anyone who is found using water for things like washing car, and power washing home, or watering plants.  The fine can be as much as $150.00.  Local news is asking everyone to help with this.  Watch your water use.  They are hoping for rain in the next few days, but not sure.

Hi Detroitlady--Thanks for posting this, I just have a few questions.

This is a very important story, but we need some backing information. Do you live in North Carolina? Where are you getting this "report" you speak of? How do you know about the fines (even if you heard it from a neighbour)? Be clear about your sources, whatever they may be, and we'll be happy to promote your work.

You may find our J-Tips helpful; they can aid you in crafting good news stories. Thanks for your work!

On my report it does say, the local news.  All of this information came from the news, out of Asheville, NC.  I do live here, that is why it is so very important to me.  Again, in my story it does say local news.  I will not write anything but fact.  You have my word.  Good news, we are having a light rain as I am writing you, in Macon co.  But, it will take a lot to help us.  It has only rain 11 inches this year in NC, as of 10-17-07,  and that is way under.  This is fact and true.  Have a great day.
