From snow storms to winter meltdown in just days...January started off with a bang...of snow storms, we received 20 cm in just one day...and then in the last 2 days we have had alot of rain....its been extremly mild too (compared to the -20 of last week) so much of  the snow has melted down....the mild conditions and the rain has caused much fog in the last 2 days, all day long....so you can say that we have been in the fog for the last few days...and this is my weather report ...directly from Hudson, Québec

10 years ago at this very time we had an ice storm, now a meltdown!!!!! The weather is crazy! Right now its super windy, i'm surprised my internet is still working, branches are flying everywhere!

Other parts of Quebec are also at risk from the melting snow.

A dozen homes in Huntingdon, Que., were evacuated Wednesday after flood waters from two nearby rivers crept toward the town.Residents of the 12 homes along Huntingdon's shoreline were asked to leave late Wednesday morning as the threat of flooding continued to increase.
The Chateauguay and Trout rivers spilled their banks Tuesday after becoming engorged with melted snow and rain. A thick ice jam is preventing the water from circulating downstream, which increases the threat of major flooding.
