Some local surfers braved the elements over the weekend to take on some incredible, massive waves off the Baja coast. The storm system that brought rain and snow across Southern California also churned up the surf south of the border. One of the surfers captured video while surfing 12 miles off the coast of Ensenada, Mexico. Some of the monstrous waves they encountered were reported to be 40 feet tall. The waves were so massive that Mexican officials shut down harbors in the area.
