** HURRICANE IRENE HEADS FOR SEA -- and TD #10 IS GONE **

Tropical storm Irene is right about at hurricane intensity, albeit a minimal one. Far more importantly, Irene has
'made the turn' -- and is now heading NNE (020deg Heading) at 11Kts, and now has 99.99% probability of not
affecting the U.S. This will likely be my last update on this storm.

In addition, the Tropical Depression that rapidly developed yesterday, and was briefly on the threshold of being a
Tropical storm, as expected, 'ran into some problems' - namely a very strong upper level TROF from the Mid Atlantic
which has dug so far south that it has introduced both a great deal of shear and dry air into the systems environment,
to the point that is is no longer much more than a Tropical wave with disorganized convection. While it MAY be
possible that the system will regenerate next week as it moves northwestward, it is unlikely. This too will be my
last update on this system.
