Weird, But True

Dogs, bats and rats will grace dinner tables across Asia this Christmas, where the holiday is feted with lots of cheer and very little turkey.

Christmas Day is seen as a foreign festival in many countries in Asia, but that doesn't stop millions of people from cooking up banquets of local food unheard of in the West, including delicacies such as pork soaked in blood, garden rats cooked with chilies and garlic, and bats cooked in coconut milk.

We eat black pudding in the UK - congealed pigs blood. It is beautiful. Bats fried in coconut sound o.k. to me. Probable not to the bat though.
