Welcome to Bethel, AK Sign

Bethel, AK is on the Kuskokwim River 400 miles west of Anchorage. There are no roads to Bethel. It is accesible by plane or boat, or by vehicle in the winter on the river ice road. People have cars to get around in the city, but there is a lot of walking. There are also a lot of cabs for a small city. I think I walked every street over the four days I was in Bethel. I could draw a map of the city.
