I can't believe people fall for these fad diets..the newest one everyone's trying, not eating, (whatever) is called the Sardine Diet. You pretty much eat sardines all day and night until you feel like throwing up...
Can people just not reduce their portion size and exercise to loose weight? What do you think? Will this diet stick around?

Dieting isn’t easy. Which is why we’ve developed a simple, sustainable plan that takes the work out of it. Starring a remarkable, all-natural superfood, The Sardine Diet features a complete meal schedule for breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks, desserts, and even special rewards.

"You pretty much eat sardines all day and night"

"pretty much" is blogger speak for "I didnt' read about it, but here is my sensationalist take on it". You don't eat sardines every meal (read about the diet), but rather they serve as the primary source of fat and protein. The diet has recipes for dishes with fruit/yogurt, tuna, and chicken, so read more into other than just the name.

thank you so much for your response (dieter).  some people jump in so negatively with both feet and condemn everything that is presented.  Studies show there is no one way for all people.  We as people must experiment until we find what works for us.  Can it be tedious?  Yes, very!  However, it is necessary.  Every vitamin on the market does not work for every person either.  As long as it is not milking people out of most of their hard earned money, then try several things until you find what works.  I do agree with poprocks on reducing portions and exercise.  No matter what diet we chose; if we don't exercise our results will be minimal.

The sardine diet was named "tongue in cheek", to emphasisze that sardines can play a larger role in high protien/low carb dieting.  The book emphasizes healthy eating, vegetables as the prtimary carb, other non veg carbs (berries, whole grains etc to be eaton with the protiens and not by themselves.  Traditionaly proteins was found in chicken and fish, but often canned sardines were never considered.  This book simply describes adding sardines into ones list of healthy options.
