What will become of new US and Japanese Alliance against N Korea?

As I watch George W Bush making a speech on Fox News Live, with Japanese and American flags staggered in a backdrop, I cannot help but wonder. I wonder, after the statements of Veto against Congress in future bills regarding Iraq, what this new alliance with Japan will amount to in the months to come.
