Where Are They Now?

(Digital Dementia Entertainment Group) - Stars rise and fall, flare and wane.  Some stars shine very briefly before fading into obscurity.  What becomes of celebrities after their fifteen minutes are up?

Our investigative reporters have tracked down a few former luminaries to give you a glimpse into what became of some of your favorite personalities of yesteryear.

Knucklehead:  Side-kick to Howdy Doody, Knucklehead dropped out of show business and later earned an MBA from the Wharton School of Economics.
Current status: Senior advisor to the Bush Administration regarding fiscal and monetary policy.

Tammy Faye:  The former televangelist wife of James Baker achieved notoriety by bursting into tears on cue and slobbering until her tears washed her mascara down her face making her look like a well-fed version of Alice Cooper.
Current status:  No longer in the Jesus business, Tammy Faye now operates the largest Sherwin & Williams cosmetics outlet in Tulsa.

Baby Jessica:  The little girl who fell down a well bore in West Texas in 1987 and was rescued after spending 58 hours staring at the soles of her feet  was married at age 19, still lives in West Texas and is counting the days until she inherits over a million dollars held in trust for her donated by “well-wishers” during her childhood ordeal.
Current status:  Not a baby anymore.  Not a babe either; Now working as a waitress at a Dunkin Donuts in Midland, Texas

Buckwheat:  Cherished original cast member of the Little Rascals, Buckwheat served as an inspiration to many aspiring African-American celebrities.  He is often credited for inspiring the “Don King hair style”.  His career revived briefly when he landed a role in the short-lived TV show, “The Mod Squad.”  After that, his fortunes sank and the California dream became a nightmare.  After numerous arrests for pimping and drug dealing, Buckwheat was eventually befriended by Louis Farrakhan.  Under Farrakhan’s tutelage Buckwheat embraced Islam, changing his name to Kareem O’Wheat.  He later had a change of heart and found Jesus again.
Current status: Pentecostal preacher and political activist in his home state of New York.

Monica Lewinsky:  Former Clinton White House aide and playmate, Monica hit the dating circuit where she was immensely popular until she became … well … immense.
Current status:  Proprietor of tobacco shop, “Monica’s Cigar Box”, in Wilmington, Delaware.

Lou Reed:  Rock legend, member of the Velvet Underground, Lou Reed spent years taking a walk on the wild side.  Known for his gender-bending ways, in 1999 the original rock and roll animal finally got off the gender fence and underwent transsexual surgery.  She recently married well and now lives in southern England where she “likes to tend to her garden and enjoy afternoon tea with the neighbors.”
Current status:  Duchess of Cornwall
